I wrote this simple plugin as a proof of concept. Feel free to adapt it to your needs or improve on it.
In simplest terms, it allows you to call in content from another application (in the same domain, due to browser restrictions on cross-domain loading) and insert that content into a specific element in your DOM. Currently it uses jQuery, but does not load in the jQuery library.
